Founded in 2011, Seraphim is a world-class solar panel manufacturer with more than 6 gigawatt of solar panels installed in over 40 countries.
Seraphim panels are amongst the most efficient in the world, due to their innovative design which involves splitting each panel into two sections. This reduces the losses in energy output between the cells and helps overcomes the reduction in panel efficiency caused by partial shading.
Seraphim solar panels are subject to stringent quality control through smart, highly automated manufacturing processes at its plants in China and the USA.
Seraphim’s focus on innovation and product quality is recognised by industry expert, DNV GL, who have listed the company as a ‘top performer’.
Seraphim has a ‘tier 1’ rating from Bloomberg New Energy Finance. This rating scale is an indicator of financial stability, an important consideration when considering the ability of a company to honour its warranties over 15 to 25 years.
Seraphim in Australia
Seraphim has an Australian support office located in Collins Street, Melbourne.
Its panels are listed on the Clean Energy Council approved product list. Only products on this list quality for the Victorian Solar Homes Rebate and the Small-scale Technology Certificates from the Federal Government (another form of rebate).
Seraphim’s commitment to quality is borne out by the ‘better-than-standard’ warranty provided on its panels. Typically solar panels in Australia come with a 10 year product warranty. The Seraphim Blade series of panels have a 15 year product warranty as well as a 25 year performance warranty.
Key Features – Seraphim Blade Panels
More watts per square metre
Seraphim Blade Panels have 330 watts per panel (a few years ago, the typical specification was 250 watts per panel). This means you get more power per square metre of roof space – an important point if your roof space is limited. It also means lower installation costs as less panels are needed to achieve the same size system as previously.
Minimise the loss of power through shading
Seraphim panels will still produce power even when they are partially shaded. This is achieved by an innovative design feature which involves splitting each solar panel into two separate sections so they generate power independently of each other. This means when half the solar panel is shaded, the other section of the panel that isn’t shaded will continue to generate power.
Higher energy output
The loss of power that happens when energy moves from the individual cell through the solar panel – and ultimately to the solar inverter – is minimised due to another clever design feature. This feature is really quite simple – each small cell in the Seraphim Blade panel is half the size of cells found in most other solar panels. Due to the laws of physics, this results in less energy loss when power is transferred from the cell, which means you get more power from each of your panels!
High efficiency rating
Seraphim Blade panels have an efficiency rating of 19.49%, making them one of the most efficient panels on the market.
